good weekend

This weekend was a good one.
In n Out, grocery shopping, Grandma Jan's baptism, Caleb's sweet basketball championship, crown burger, beating my husband at bowling, late night gathering with Erin and Brooke, really good sunday school lesson, husband made me pizza, 4 hour nap, and oscars with family.

Husband has a hug job interview tomorrow.
He will do great, I just know it.
I will, of course, be proud of him. No matter what happens.

oh. just a picture I love from a special day.

goodbyes

This weekend we had the pleasure of having Cam stay with us.
She leaves for South Carolina today and then on to China in a few weeks.
I'm so excited for her and her travels.
We ate a lot this weekend, saw a couple of movies, went bowling, got frozen yogurt, and watched the bachelor.
Wouldn't change a thing.
Pure blast.

Courtney flies into town tonight.
We get to see her before she departs for the MTC tomorrow and then on to France.
She is going to be thee best missionary.
Love her.

Lastly, I am so grateful to have a husband who will wear a heinous tie dye shirt I made him, just to make me happy.

blown away

Holy mackrel. This current wind situation is cuhrazy.
I'm convinced that the roof of our apartments is about to rip off any second.
I'm a tad bit frightened by the howling noise the wind is making.
I literally chased after our welcome mat this morning.
Good grief.

On a better note. Lately, Dallin and I have been going to bed earlier than normal.
I've really enjoyed the extra sleep.
Don't worry. We still find time for naps.

valentines

Dallin and I had a splendid Valentine's Day.
I came home from school and got right to work on frog eye salad for D.
He is obsessed with it.
It has mandarin oranges, pineapple, cool whip, sugar, milk, frog eye noodles, and marshmallows in it.
I got him  one of his favorite movies and lil' baby card.
D eating right out of his bowl.

He was a sweetie face and came home with roses, candy, and a card.

We went to a little dinner and stuffed our faces.

I feel so blessed to have this big goob as my valentine. Love him.

dallin

I feel like I'm constantly laughing at Dallin lately.
He'll randomly make up a song and belt it.
He'll tell me to come look for him cause he's hiding.
Sometimes, he thinks he is a race car driver and makes revving noises and tire squeaks.
He'll randomly just sing Spanish words over and over, when he knows maybe five.

He has been wanting a dog for awhile now.
Our conversation last night:

Dallin:    Let's do it, let's just get a dog.
Me:    Um, no we can't right now.
Dallin:    Come on, we need one. We just won't tell the people in charge of our apartment.
Me:    What if they randomly check in, or someone complains?
Dallin:    We'll just get a harness for the dog and dangle it off the balcony when they stop by.
Me:    laughs

Can you imagine? Just a dog hanging by it's toes, four floors up?

amigos

I feel so lucky to have such wonderful friends.
I just got off the phone with my friend Cam, and she is the best.
Even though we always live far away from each other, we talk on the phone constantly.
I live for her stories, and I find her hilarious.
She is such a caring and supportive friend.
She is off to China in a few weeks and I'm so dang excited for her.
I will miss her phone calls, they put me in the best mood.
Love ya Cam bam.

My dear friend Court leaves for the MTC at the end of the month.
I am so frackin' excited for her.
She is going to Paris, France and will be the best missionary.
She is so much fun and I miss dancing around with her and making each other laugh over nothing.
I love to hear all about her worldwide adventures and I live vicariously through her experiences.
I am so glad she is my chum.

I also have wonderful friends from high school that I have a blast with every time we gather.
I laugh so hard when we talk about old times.
It's so fun to see how we've all changed and have our own lives.
I love to catch up and love em so much.
I am so thankful for all of them!

I'm a lucky duck to know all of these great people.

splendid fun

This weekend was a grand one.
On Friday night we went to the temple and dinner with Dallin's co-worker, Adam, and his wife, Rachel. The evening was grundles of fun and we had a lot of laughs.
Saturday we voyaged down to Lehi for my cousin, McKoy's baptism. So proud of him. And the food after was scrumptious. It definitely helps that my uncle works for Dreyers, and has some sweet ice cream hook-ups.
After the baptism, Dallin and I came home and took a giant luscious nap and rented the Social Network. What a  fantastic movie.
Now onto another busy week!

I wish I was basking in some warm weather.
I'm ready to be over being sick.
I'm so glad it's the weekend.

Gabe

He is finally here! Gabe was born yesterday morning after a long wait. Dallin and I drove down to Orem last night to see him and he is precious.  He could not be more of a downright cutie patootie.  I am so happy for Phil and Lace. They will be thee best parents.

The best part of the night was seeing Dallin hold him. He is going to be the best dad someday.
