past due..as usual.

We had Marissa, Chase, and Capri up for a bbq at my parents when they were out of town.
It was so good to see them and catch up.
We don't see them enough, and that needs to change stat.
Capri is almost a teenager.

Dallin couldn't get enough of Capri and the cuteness oozing out her ears.

We also visited my Grandma Phillips this past week.
She utilized Dallin and put him to work as the light bulb replacer.
He was more than happy to assist.
My mom and I hit the flower bed with some loveliness and we went on our way.

Dallin never really got to know my sweet grandpa.
His health declined when we first started dating.
He only knew my grandpa for the last year of his life, and at that point, he just wasn't himself.
That said, Dallin has quite a special relationship with my gram.
He adores her and she giggles when they sit and chat.
I love it.

Another notable mention: golfing.
Dallin has picked it back up and goes anytime he can squeeze it into his schedule.
This girl was not made to golf.
However, I do enjoy a good ride on the cart every now and then.

Until next time.

always good reason for a barbeque

We think up any occasion for a bbq.
Hardly any dishes...and food. Exactly.

We had my family over a few nights ago.
It honestly brought me so much joy.

Only my dearest nearest.

We also went to dinner for my cousin, Nick's birthday.

I often find myself the only girl with this group.
I don't mind, however, it will be nice to have a few chicas joining soon!
(AKA..Geoff and Andy are getting married!)

On another night, we had a few people over for another bbq.
I tell ya, it happens frequently.
It was rather rainy that night, so we found ourselves indoors doing human tables.
What else brings you closer?

Enjoying this time with family and friends is what it's all about.
On that note. My parents jotted off to Italy yesterday.
We get to room with Ryker and Jackson for two weeks.
I honestly look forward to these times.
My parents worry leaving so long, but it's really nice for D and I to hang out with them.

They deserve it!

Easter 2014

Easter Sunday flew right on by.
We thoroughly enjoyed church and focusing on the resurrection of our Savior.
The knowledge and blessing of this amazing truth boggles my tiny mind, but I'm forever grateful.

We hopped like a rabbit (see what I did there) over to my parents for some lunch (aka feast in my mom's terms) and an Easter egg hunt.
Absolutely loved watching my niece and nephew get in on the action this year.
We scored a ton of chocolate, flips flops, and a Lebron shirt (are you surprised?) in our baskets.

(thanks Lacey for these pictures :)

I then went to work. The sad bitter end to this story.
It had to be done.

We better throw an awkward smooch pic in right?

We watched this video in Young Women's.

Everyone has probably watched it.
I just want to remember it for future enjoyment :)
It's golden.

vegas recess

A couple weeks ago, I tagged along with my parents and brothers for a jaunt to Vegas.
It worked out that I was on Spring Break at my school and D would be staying up at his dad's to house-sit and feed his dogs.
A few of my coworkers were generous and helped cover my shifts and I was off!
I'll hop on an invitation to 85 degree weather any day.

We did all your classic family-friendly Vegasing.
Shopping, buffeting, walking, swimming, Captain America movieing, NY NY rollercoastering, and family bondment.

I was told on numerous occasions that I look just like my mom.
I am ok with that!
She is pretty fantastic.

My dad loves any chance for a photo.
So. False.
But we finagled him into a few shots.

Glad to have the chance to hang out and have one on one time with my little brothers.
I am lucky to have 3 of the best brothers you could ever want.

Sappy? Well I can do that here. So I will.

All in all. Vegas + my family = bliss.
