cabin weekend

We had a blast at my family's cabin this weekend.
It was full of delish food, fishing, barbie nintendo, reading, fires, dutch-oven dinners, naps, church in the boons, and celebrating my dad's birthday.

I love to fish.

Marissa is totally holding her giant fish.

Get it momma!

Panorama of lake and Jackson.
I live for this view.

Nothing better than spending time with my family away from all the craziness.

An extreme amount of snapshots..

I am going to post a bundle of pictures again.
My deepest apologies.

Canoeing at the Ross Family Reunion.
Good thing we had Dallin as the motor.
Marissa and I need to improve our rowing skills.

Quality cousin time.

It is impossible for this ^ not to happen when we are together.

Music and the Spoken Word.
It was Dallin's first time, and we both loved every moment.

Marissa snapped this when I got home from work.
She came into Red Rob on her birthday, and I was pleased as punch to serve her.

Birthday flowers :)

Marissa showed us around downtown at her old stomping grounds.

Struggles.

Coolest Fountain behind us.
Is it bad that they reminded me of caramel apples?

Beautiful.

Our self-timed family portrait.

Dysfunctional family.

Thanks to Marissa and her camera for these little slices of goodness.

oh just a bundle of pictures.

My ghetto phone has turned into my makeshift camera.
It's no good.

But I just love these few pictures from the last couple of days.

Sleeping on a wood plank = exhaustion.
Marissa sneaked this during D and I's nap at the reunion.
We are sharing the only twin-sized air mattress available.
It was beyond difficult.

Jacksy turned nine years old.
I adore him.
He hopped out of the pool long enough to blow out the candles on his cake.
He is growing up so dang fast.

As usual, I spent half the night kissing this little munchkin.

Took Marissa out for dinner on her birthday.
We just love her oh so much.

The new 22 year old.

Blue Lemon was delicious.

One more birthday to go.
Going up to the cabin for my padre's birthday this weekend.
Wa-hoot-i-hoo.

happy happy birthday to you!

This week is full of celebration.
Tomorrow is my little brother's birthday.
Wednesday is Marissa's birthday.
And Sunday is my dad's birthday.

I love them all so much, and can't wait to spend time with each one.

This weekend was SO needed.
The family reunion was a great one.
Weather was perfect.
Company was superb.
And non-stop games were a blast.

Saturday night, D, Marissa, Geoff, Katelyn, and I ventured to Draper Days and watched fireworks.
They put on a great show, and I thoroughly enjoyed snuggling with my hub bubs.

A week of work and festivities is on its way.
Have a great day:)

The only picture I have from the entire weekend.
Oh but I love it so much.

many excitements

I am one happy girl.
My weekend starts here.
We have the Ross Family Reunion this weekend in Heber, and I got some time off.
First weekend off this summer. Hallelujah!

Um. Marissa and her family get into town today at noon. :) Enough said.

A couple of nights ago, I wandered on over to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
I picked up the most scrumptious caramel apple I've ever seen.
D and I enjoyed every crispy bite for a day and a half.
I have found a new treat.

Guess who went bowling last night?
Yeah, we did. Not a surprise there.
We hit up the lanes with Geoff and Kaitelyn.
Had a bunch of laughs and fun.

We played 3 games total. I scored 70 the first. Definitely room for improvement.
The second game, I scored a 115. I was told I would get a treat if I got over 100 the last 2 games.
Done.
Last game. 161.
Guess Dallin needs to tempt me with treats more often.
I did it all for another caramel apple.

You bet your bottom dollar I took a pic of my best game ever.

And it just makes me happy when Dallin pumps the gas, and I don't have to.
Oh and it's an added bonus when he washes my windows.

Oh the simple joys.

boondocks

The sunset tonight.
I love nights like these.
Warm outside and a beautiful sky to look at.

This picture was taken right down the street from our apartment.
Lately, Dallin and I have noticed that it takes us forever to get anywhere.
It probably has something to do with the fact that we live in the middle of nowhere.
Ok we really don't, but sometimes we feel like we live in the Copper Mine.

People ask us all the time, "So where again are you guys living?"
First response : "Just west of Daybreak."
When they look at us with confusion, we just reply : "In the mine."

too much work, too little play

I worked all day today.
Missed my husband and family far too much.
Was a little bitter waiting on so many smiling and laughing families.
I'm done complaining. Grateful for a job.

On Sunday night, Lacey, Phil and the babes came over to our abode to hang for a bit.
We cooled down with some creamies and enjoyed their joyous company.

Excited for the coming weekends I have off work for family reunions and summer time.
Oh and just seeing my husband in general will be good :)

He enjoyed his first taste of a creamy quite thoroughly.

Eating some refreshing goodness.

Dallin loves when I snap pictures when he least expects it.

my favorite little man.

a new Mr. & Mrs. on the block

We hit up Zupas with the newly engaged Erin and Travis last night.
Had a ball.
I am so happy and thrilled for them.

Erin also introduced me to the Sweet Tooth Fairy sweet shop.
I don't think my nostrils have ever smelt so much goodness at once.

We ended the night playing some ping to the pong at my parent's house.

We love spending time with these two.
Congrats you guys!
