satisfying spring

This weather is where it's at.
Other than the hit-or-miss chilly and windy days, I welcome it with open flailing arms.

About a week ago, I joined Phil, Lacey, and the kids down at Gateway.
We wandered through the planetarium, and then drifted to the fountain.

At moments, I just stuck an arm out, and basked in the sun hitting my transparent skin.

With the warm weather, comes whipping our yard back into shape.
Tuned up the old (not really) lawn mower and D went to work clipping the grass.
I love the first cut of the season.
I'm lame, but it honestly looks so good after sitting under slush and snow all winter.

Even through Dallin's squinty bent over stance, I know he is tickled to mow :)

Dallin said he was extremely thirsty last night about 11 pm.
Apparently, nothing in our fridge deemed worthy to him.
I won't even mention Riverton water.
Yes. We are those snobs. (It straight up tastes like a puddle from the mine)

After much convincing we drove to a gas station close to our house.
I stayed in the car and about 3 minutes later he walked out with the proudest smile on his face holding this:

I just looked at him.

Dallin: "What? I like melon."

annual murder mystery soiree

Oops, we did it again.
Last weekend we had the chance to frolic about as false characters and solve a crime.
This year's theme. Famous people.
I immediately chose thee Lucille Ball.
If anyone is surprised, well you shouldn't be.

Dallin was James Bond.
Decided to class it up a bit and wear a borrowed Armani tux from his dad.
That came in handy.

We all ventured up to the infamous Timber Moose Lodge in Heber again.
I still can't fathom that massive structure.
Felt like we were on vacation. We were.
Our room had a tub the size of bus, and a kitchen.
I only used the first one :)

We ate SO much food and laughed till it hurt to breath.
The Murder Mystery took place Saturday night.
Tina Fey ended up tragically killing Jay Leno.
That little mongrel.

Michael (Bruce Jenner) outdid himself yet again, and we're all so thankful he brings the group back together for an unforgettable weekend.

resume

A few notable events to recap.
I attended a bridal shower thrown for sweet Court.
She is such a beautiful bride to be.
It was fantastic to catch up with her and family from Idaho and Salt Lake I haven't seen in years.
Can't wait for the big day.

We caught a few of Aiden and Caleb's basketball games a couple weeks ago.
They were all in our relative area, so that was a bonus.
BOTH of their teams won the championship games for their age group.
It was sweet.
Ballistic coaches/parents are so entertaining, let me tell you.

And leave it to me to take a lil family portrait.
Memories. Dallin. Memories.

I am utterly obsessed with my nephew and niece.
Everyone is right?

We recently snuggled, growled, watched Frozen, and took a walk.

Well. That was a random pile of treasures.
At least for me.
Thanks for reading dad and mom :)
