Bear Lake

My family went up to Bear Lake for a long weekend in July. 

I love it up there so much!

Weather is perfect + raspberry shakes! What else does one need?

Finn was in fantasy land. He loved all of the outside time and playing on the beach.

Dallin and I want to make it a point to go back often. We loved it!

bridal shower + peter pan

My dear friend, McCall, is getting married next week, so Jax, Shar and I threw her a bridal shower.

I love any time to get together and stuff my face, let's be honest.

Got a little carried away with the selfie stick :)

I would make her stand next to the "bride-to-be"

And then wear the decor as a necklace.

I can't wait to see her as a bride. I've seen some of her bridals, and hot dang he is a lucky guy!

We also went down to Peter Pan at Hale Center theater.

Our great friend, Josh, played Peter Pan and crushed it!

I giggled through the entire thing. And then Shartel cried.

A few weeks later I managed to join in on another show with my parents, Mike, and Dallin. 

I loved it and was super impressed with Josh's acrobatics!

12 months

I am so behind! I have a lot to catch up on! Still can't believe I have a 1 year old. It is so awesome to see his personality develop and watching him change day to day.

AGE: 1 year!

WEIGHT: 25.8 lbs.

SLEEPING: He is a pretty good sleeper. Averages 2 hefty naps a day. Goes down for bed around 9 pm and wakes around 8:30 am. If he is sick or teething, he usually wants a bottle around 6 am and then will go back to sleep till 9 am. 

EATING: Trying to transition him to whole milk. Not the biggest fan yet. Eats/tries almost every solid we give him.

MILESTONES: He is not only walking now but running! Super sturdy and rarely takes a spill. Constantly bumping his head on everything. Can climb and attempts to stand on the dishwasher door, when it is open. Learned how to throw baby fits and be super sassy. He can safely get off our bed and the couch (sometimes). More on that later.  He also climbs up the stairs at record speeds, and we are working on safely going down them. Says: Ma Ma, Da, and his own jib jabs. Gives the juiciest open-mouthed kisses when we ask for them. Has a freak out when a door is left open and he can escape outside. Sits in a low squat position all the time. Gets super flushed when we are out in the heat.

LOVES:

to stick his shoes in his mouth. 

to snuggle us and especially his Star Wars blanket. 

Clifford.

bath time and standing in the tub. 

swimming. 

ANYTHING to do with outside.

walks.

other kids and babies. (He is know to attack other children with tight hugs. They usually don't like it.)

to come and sit in my lap when I am sitting on the floor.

when I sneeze. He thinks it is funny.

all of his grandmas and grandpas.

Bear Lake. (The sand, water, constantly being outside, cousins to hug. Not so much when he tried to eat the sand.)

to play with all of my bathroom and hair products.

the hose and playing in water. 

FUNNY MOMENTS: 

• There is a little girl about a week younger than Finn in our ward and they are obsessed with each other. He saw her last week and they ran for each other. Finn tackled her with a hug and she gave him a big fat kiss on the cheek. They get so mad when we separate them. 

• Dallin and Finn were just hanging on the couch and all of a sudden Dallin gasps and I run into the living room.  Finn apparently ran off the couch and slammed his face on the ground. Finn didn't even bat an eye and just looked at us like what's the big deal?
