Annie Hutchings from Weescout Photos took some newborn shots of Finn when he was just a baby guy.

My heart continually melts to a puddle.

He looks nothing like this anymore.

So glad I will have these to look back on...and weep:)

Sam Smith

When I was pretty pregnant with Finn, I heard on the radio that Sam Smith was coming to town.

I jumped for joy and texted Mike to see if he would come with me.

Dallin isn't so keen for concerts.

He obliged in sitting our future babe (Finnsters).

Mike agreed and Jax joined us.

We had a WONDERFUL time.

I was in pure heaven listening to his honey voice.

When we got there we realized our seats were on the FLOOR. 

Ha ha. Leave it to us to not realize when we bought them.

Now if Sam would just join up with Adele for a song, I would die and go to heaven.

Not really, but my body would surely seize from excitement.

We were thrilled.

And a bit spastic.

5 months

AGE: 5 months

WEIGHT: 19 lbs.

HEIGHT: Not sure, and I am in no mood to measure a sleeping baby:) We'll find out next month at his doctor appointment.

SIZE: 18 month Gerber onesies. Mostly 12-18 month clothes.

HAIR: I feel like he has a little more...still a baldie in the back.

EYES: Dark.

SLEEPING: He was giving us 8 hour solid nights with an additional 3 hour chunk after eating...until Thanksgiving. The dreaded teething has commenced and he is getting up a lot! Not enjoying that one bit.

EATING: I started giving him oatmeal cereal mostly mornings and nights in addition to milk. It took him a hot minute to actually start eating it instead of dribbling it all out. He seems to be enjoying it now. 

MILESTONES: Sitting pretty well. He topples a lot due to bending in half to eat his toes. Speaking of toes, he will pull his socks off just to get those footsies in the mouth. Sits in a highchair like a big boy. Jumps in his bouncer like is aiming for the ceiling. He has his two bottom teeth coming in. Teething hasn't been horrible, but he's just not himself. I have enjoyed the extra snuggles. He has mastered fake coughing. Shakes his head from side to side. 

LOVES:

to suck/chomp on everything--(ie: toys, toes, our hands/fingers, baby spoons).

peekaboo.

frozen pacifiers.

nakey part of diaper changes.

when papa comes into the room.

squishing empty water bottles.

FUNNY MOMENT: We bought a car last week and spent most of our Saturday night at the dealership signing paperwork. Finn was being really good and just hanging out. We were at a desk, talking to the main salesman and Finn basically blew up his diaper in dead silence, like a grown man. It's always the bodily functions with this one.

He was a Tootsie Roll for Halloween.

He was jumping in his bouncer while I put his highchair together. Apparently it wore him out. Just fitting the straps to his bod and he fell fast asleep.

He usually hugs the crap out of this giraffe.

4 months

AGE: 4 months.

WEIGHT: 17.4 lbs.

HEIGHT: 27 in.

SIZE; 12 month and 12-18 month clothing. A couple of his 9 month outfits barely fit him. He is busting at the seams.

EYES; As dark as they come!

HAIR: He still has a tiny bit but has a little patch of long hairs at the crown of his head. Still rockin' the bald spot on the back.

SLEEPING: He is a champion! Sleeps an 8 hour stretch, eats, and goes back down for 2-3 hours.

EATING: Still being picky and distracted during the day, but nurses great during his morning feed. Still 98% breast milk with just a tiny bit of formula here and there. The doctor said to start giving him juice. His face during his first taste of apple juice was one for the books. He probably was ticked that I gave him the worst milk on earth:)

MILESTONES: He smiles non-stop. Wants to stand ALL of the time. Goes stiff as a board until we stand him up. Sitting in his Bumbo and on the couch like a champ. Lifts his head way high when he is laying on his back. Looks like he is doing crunches. (Just working on his fitness). He is SUPER ticklish all over.

LOVES:

scratching any surface he can get his hands on.

smiling at someone and then burying his face.

his toes.

Nuk pacifiers.

his car window cracked.

the Bumbo.

smacking my phone out of my hand.

smiling/giggling.

his toys on his play mat.

to talk--gets it from his mama.

to take his binky at it, inspect it, and if he's lucky, get it back in.

blowing bubbles and dribbling all over.

fitting as many fingers as he can into the mouth.

FUNNY MOMENT: The other night, I stuck his bink in my mouth and starting talking to him. He thought it was hilarious. Laughed all night long.
