Magic Mountain

On a whim, Dallin and I drove to Valencia, California this weekend with Erin and Travis.
Erin and I had never been to Six Flags before so the boys talked us into going.
We had awesome talks and vegged the whole drive down.
I've never driven to California before, and at times I thought my bum would never wake up.
We had a complete blast on Saturday people watching and being thrown around like rag dolls on the rides.
I looooved the extreme roller coasters.
Just thinking about them still gives me butterflies.
That night we had a crazy experience at our hotel that scared the daylights out of us.
We had some interesting neighbors that led us to call the cops and listen to their crazy escapades all night long.
We were exhausted but had a wonderful time!
The last minute trips are always the best.

My favorite ride.
This picture was taken right after I stuffed a huge laffy taffy in my mouth. Struggles.

We are..

Thrilled.
We've found a couple to bowl with us.

Thanks a bunch Erin and Travis for joining our bowling fetish.

Dallin was so ecstatic.

He bowled his best game yet.
He pulled eight strikes out of his tush and looked completely surprised each time.
I had to take a picture to remember this day for D.
His dad still doesn't believe him.

Good job babe.

cure for the Mondays

Husband came home with a little pot of calla lilies and my favorite Easter treat today.
He had a huge grin when he walked in the door and said, "We need some greenery in this place."
Calla lilies just happen to be my favorite flower.
I've already almost polished off both baby bags of my cadbury eggs.

I love him. He is definitely aware of my heiferness.

spring break

It's been a great week.
Monday we went to Zups with Erin and Travis and watched the Bachelor. The boys loved it.
Tuesday Dallin, Geoff, Nick and I went bowling and I didn't do well, but it was still a hoot.
On Thursday night Dallin's step-dad Brian and girlfriend Nikie took us to cheesecake factory. Don't mind if I do.
Tonight we went bowling (again) with Adam and his wife Rachel, and saw Limitless.
I'm not too excited to head back to school Monday, but the semester will be over in no time.
Gotta finish strong.

We've been bowlin' a lot lately.

I love it when

Dallin has the day off.
I also love when he takes me to in n out.

eating = pure joy and bliss.

I got to see lil' Gabe babe last night.
Nothing makes my heart melt more than watching him sleep.
I can't get enough of him.

I also love walking in to my dad's office and he is dancing with Gabe and says he is working out his calves.

I crave..

Girl Scout cookies.
On my way home from school last Friday I must've passed boat loads of girl scouts waving and dancing with their cookie signs.
The first time I passed some, I told myself nah you'll get some later.
The second time, I succumbed to my deep inner craving for some samoas and a big tall glass of milk.
I've never felt so good as I drove away.
Not 2 minutes later my dad called to say he picked me up a box of samoas on his way home from the gym.
He knows me far too well.
I'm a heifer.
The worst/best part is that Dallin doesn't like sweets.

These cookies have my name written all over them.

seattle sparks

In February of last year, Dallin voyaged up to Seattle for training at Dex.
During the couple of months before he left, we got to know each other really well by going to dinner, movies, having game nights and late night chats with my friend Nicole and cousin Nick.
I started to think he was a pretty neat fellow and we all joked that we'd fly up to Seattle for a weekend to visit Dallin, because he'd be there for about a month.
I talked my parents into letting me go, and one night Nicole, Nick and I all bought our plane tickets.
It honestly was one of the best/shortest trips I've ever taken.
We did SO much in the little time we had.
Some of the things we did: shopped at the Bellevue mall, saw a movie, ate at Cheesecake factory, pretended like we could afford Jimmy Choo shoes, rented a car, stopped at Pikes Market, visited the first Starbucks, rode to the top of the space needle, went to the Seattle Music Museum, Fremont Troll (from 10 things I hate about you), Watched the sunset on the beach facing downtown Seattle, ate huckleberry ice cream for the first time, and a late night Taco Bell run in there somewhere.
I was thinking about this trip tonight and looking at some of the pictures I took and I wanted to write about it, before I forgot the little details.
I was so excited to visit Dallin, I just had a feeling about him.

ready for some sun

My parents told us a few weeks ago that we are headed back to this place.
It will be the last family trip for quite some time.
We are so utterly thrilled and grateful.
Counting down the days has begun.
So giddy to spend a week with the whole family in Cabo.

late night with the boys

Last night we took my little brothers bowling with us.
It was crazy chaotic with people, cosmic lasers, fog, and loud music.
We had a pure blast.
They are growing up so fast, and I just love to spend time with them.

bowling

Dallin and I have picked up a new obsession.
Bowling.
We find any excuse to go.
For some strange reason, my right foot flies up in the air when I chuck the ball down the lane.
I love to watch the intense bowlers who play in leagues.
Their bowling gloves and matching shirts are very classy.
We don't care that we can't bowl.
The people watching is so worth it.
