sweet moments.

About a week ago, Dallin and I experienced a sweet moment.
We had the chance to help clean the Jordan River temple.
Not only was it a special experience to be inside the temple walls with just a few people, but we were there from 11 at night till 2 in the morning.
Our assignment was to vacuum the already immaculate and spotless sealing rooms.

It was such a privilege to clean such a beautiful holy temple.
I will never forget the spirit I felt that night.

I also enjoyed seeing Dallin in a white jumpsuit so extremely focused and determined to vacuum straight, crisp lines.

baby wiglet

This past Saturday we attended the Ross Family Christmas Party out in Roosevelt.
It was Dallin's first visit out to the place where most of the Ross side of the family lives.
Dallin was in awe of the scenic views.
By scenic, I mean sagebrush and more sagebrush.

We had a great time visiting and seeing all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

My favorite thing from the party was snuggling with one of my newest cousins.
He is the most content and happy baby.
I could just squeeze him all day.
His name is Colt.

He has more hair than I do and I'm convinced he wears a baby wiglet.
His mom has to brush his hair back with gel just so it's not in his face.
Mind you...he is a few months old.

I adore.

phone action

Love me some flowers to brighten the place up.

Who knew they started making this?
Not quite as delectable as the homemade mix.
Needs more chocolate and peanut butter goodness.
Still enjoyed a handful.

Gee wiz.
Words can't describe how excited I am to squeeze this this little man
in just a few short weeks.
(I grabbed this from his mother's blog.)

Who doesn't love the sight of "pretty" desserts.
Especially when they taste as good as they look.

Morph Starbursts you ask?
Oh they just change flavor mid chewage.
Just a plain ol' orange transitions into orange strawberry delightfulness.
Cherry blasts into cherry lime.
These blew my socks off.

A little bit of wendys with Dallin and his two bfs.
He adores these two fellas.
They let me tag along.

Utah Truffles + some twilight reference wraps.
Bravo.

Got our new table from Dallin's mom.
I love it.
It makes me happy each time I turn the corner.

a mustache

Makes everything better.
Especially when people let me add one to their face.
Much enjoyment had by all.

1 year

One year ago today I married Dallin.
It's cliche, but it honestly was the best day of my life.

I feel so lucky to be his wife.
I love and adore him so much and can't wait to see what the years bring.

We had a fiesta last night at The Melting Pot, since our anniversary lands on a Sunday.
I'd never been, and D was giddy for the cheese.
It was marvelous.
The whole dinner felt like an adventure, and my stomach didn't know what hit it.
Dallin had to stop me from drinking the chocolate fondue.
It was that good.

Before dinner we got to hit up Dallin's little brother's basketball games.
They are the cutest, and I love watching them play.

Today, we ate curry over at my parents.
We enjoyed ourselves.

Last but certainly not least.
We pulled out the top of our wedding cake.
It's hard as a rock.
Still waiting for it to thaw.
But....I'm sure we'll go to town and roll out of the kitchen after we're done.

Festivities Galore

Tis the season for birthdays.
My little brother turned a whopping 13 yesterday.
Cannot believe it.

My mom had us over for her homemade pizza, cream cheese twist, bread, and ganache chocolate cake.
I'm thinking I gained an extra behind from all the deliciousness she cooked.
Man. One day. If the stars align. I hope to be half the cook she is.

Happy Birthday Ryker!
We love you!

birthday bedazzlement

Sunday was D money honey's birthday.
He turned 23.
I wish I could express how much I adore his lil' bum.
Or his gargantuan feet.
Or his long daddy eyelashes.
My list could go on for days.
I sorta kinda maybe love him.. a lot.

We had a wonderful weekend with fabulous friends, family, and food.

rejoice rejoice

My parents are home!
Dallin and I basked in their stories.

And we loved seeing all the hoopla they brought back!
I dig his kangaroo hat.

No trip is complete without a tribal mask.

Whose Koolaid socks do you ask?
Oh just my dad's feet when he took off his shoes last night.

He has several (and colorful, might I add) Koolaid Man socks that he has failed to show to me.
They were a recent purchase.
I am a wee bit jealous of them.

our week in a nutshell

Sending Ryker to Scout Camp.
I'm his sister/mom these last couple of weeks and boy did I worry.
I slept a sleepness night scared that he was cold and didn't have enough thermal underwear.
It would snow while he was gone.
Dallin reassured me he'd be just fine.
He was. And had a great time.

Played Ticket to Ride for my 2nd time.
I need to play more in order to properly compete with certain individuals.

Got these kidlins to practice their instruments some more.
I hate being a parent and enforcing their duties.
Sister is my title.

Good thing after a few reminders they oblige.
Bribery works.

My favorite activity this week.
Attending the temple with this lovely woman.
I needed it.

Also had the best lesson in Relief Society today.
Not a dry eye in the place.
I felt so spiritually fed.
I am so blessed.

Who knew...

we accumulated so much filth, our first almost year of marriage.
We're in the process of moving right now.
And let it be known that it is about I'll can do to keep Dallin from taking all we own to the DI.

First mistake: Moving from the fourth floor.
If it weren't for a few kind-hearted souls who helped us move most of it,
I honestly think we would've thrown it all off the balcony.

However, I am very grateful for the things we have, and a place to call home.
(Closer to the freeway that is.)

I'm also very lucky to have a patient husband who loves me and will move all of my heavy kitchen stuff,
even if I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Sh. (Deep fryer and fondue set.)
I'm waiting for a special celebration to use you guys.

Thank you everyone who helped and will probably help again in our future.
We owe you a big fat kiss on the lips.

While I was packing the bedroom things up, Dallin started on the kitchen.
Let's just say he isn't the most conventional packer when it comes to glassware.
I won't divulge all the pictures, but I'll give just a sampling of my lil' creative packer husband.

Oh just our little plastic file holder that he used to pack our mugs, camelback water bottle, and if you're lucky you can spot our utensils in the bottom.

Hopefully we'll be settled in our new place soon before he gets any more ideas.

Happy Halloweensters

Treats. The best part of Halloween.

My cutting skills were not the best.
Travis got it done.

I may have made him pose with his pumpkin.

This lady was stellar at handing out candy.

No need to explain.
She's loyal.

Not quite the look I was going for.

Angry Bird pumpkin. Props.

Pumpkin carving pros.

Geoff and his mystery masterpiece.

The ladies.

Tyler and Ryker.

My little hotdog.

Jackson right before Dallin took him trick or treating.

I am positive I ate more candy than we passed out.
Ok with it.
